1985 Thorkild Bach establishes Bach’s Bådeværft, which produces fibreglass hulls for boat builders both in Denmark and overseas

1994 The company begins working with the Danish wind turbine industry and starts producing nacelles for wind turbines

2000 Bach Glasfiber is formed. The company is now owned by Thorkild Bach and Geert Skovsgaard with the latter as CEO

2001 Along with new headquarters, a new 4,500metre-square production facility is built in Hurup

2002 The company changes its name to BACH Composite Industry

2002 – 2008 With the establishment of plants in Lithuania, China, Spain and the United States, BACH Composite Industry expands into three continents

2009 BACH Composite Industry’s R & D test center is established in Hurup

2011 BACH Composite Industry expands the focus of its composite products into new markets

2013 BACH Composite Industry has more than 40.000m2 under roof

2015 The majority of shares shifted to the Danish private equity fund, BWB Partners

2017 Jupiter Group & BACH Composite Industry merge to create global wind industry leader. Upon closing, the combined company will be headquartered in Køge, just outside Copenhagen, and have more than 1,200 employees.
